mentoring the clinicians who hold space for women.

Hi, I'm Melissa. I work at the intersection of hormone medicine, women's health, and clinical education. Three decades of caring for women, translated into education that actually changes how clinicians practice.

"When we educate and empower clinicians, we elevate the care that women receive."

a clinician who thinks differently

A woman sitting on a rock in a desert landscape, with rocky hills in the background, barefoot, wearing a green dress and brown boots, enjoying a peaceful moment.

I came to hormone medicine because I could no longer ignore how many women were suffering in plain sight.

After three decades in women’s health, I continue to meet women who have been dismissed, minimized, or told that exhaustion, poor sleep, weight changes, low desire, anxiety, pain, and brain fog are simply normal. Women are excellent at suffering, but suffering should never be the standard of care.

My teaching is grounded in years of clinical pattern recognition, sexual medicine, hormone physiology, and precision care. I translate what I have seen across thousands of patient conversations into education clinicians can actually use: the symptoms that cluster, the stories women repeat, the places clinicians get stuck, and the questions we need to ask earlier.

Aging is inevitable, but passive suffering is not. Women deserve information, options, and partnership, and clinicians deserve education that helps them care with more confidence, clarity, and depth.

where I spend my time

My clinical work is full-time at Balance Hormone Center. Beyond that, I am building the next chapter of educational resources, professional presentations, and a mentorship pathway for clinicians entering hormone medicine.

Currently shaping The Foundational Cohort.

professional presentations

I speak to clinical and professional audiences about the hormonal life of women, from perimenopause and sexual health to bone health, stress, sleep, and precision medicine. My goal is to make complex science feel clear, clinically useful, and deeply connected to the real experiences of women.
